Rob Caton

After a career in the armed forces, Rob retrained as an arborist and ecologist. Rob has a degree in Ecology. After working for the National Trust for several years as a warden, Rob became involved in environmental education. Rob is passionate about getting people of all ages in to the outdoors, his enthusiasm is infectious! He is interested in indigenous cultures and has spent time with the Native people of America. Rob is an experienced outdoorsman with over 20 years living and working in the natural world.

Ruth Caton

Ruth has worked as an educational Practitioner for a number of years working in secondary schools. She believes passionately in outdoor education. She makes a mean campfire casserole and her fruit cake is legendary. She taught herself to make Native American tipis from a book several years ago-just to see if she could!

Rain the dog

Rain, as well as looking the part, is a great campfire companion, although he has a tendency to singe his tail. As you can see, he is also a qualified canoe instructor!
